SCF Pastors

Dr. Richard Harrell

Senior Pastor
Dr. Richard Harrell was voted as SCF’s Transitional Senior Pastor on November 16th, 2017. For more than 30 years, he has led churches into tremendous seasons of growth and we are blessed to have him help our congregation through this time of building and transition. Pastor Richard and his wife Terry hail most recently from Stafford, VA. Holding two doctoral degrees, Pastor Richard jokes that he is educated beyond his intelligence but truly he is a down-to-earth scholar, father to two adult children, and a “model” pastor with a pastor’s heart. You can email Pastor Richard at

Heather is the Worship Leader at Shenandoah Community Fellowship. She has been married to Greg for 27 years and together they have raised two boys, Andrew and Caleb. Heather is passionate about music and loves to see people engaging with God in worship. She has been part of a worship team for over 30 years. With a mixture of her love of hymns and comtemporary praise songs, she is inspired to encourage children, youth and adults to use their gifts of music and to see them engage in serving the Lord, whether on the vocal worship team, media team or just blessing the congregation with special music. (We are always in need of skilled musicians and technical help.) You can email Heather at
She is excited, and with great expectation, to see what the Lord has in store for the future of our Music Ministry here at SCF and in serving our community with the Love of Jesus.
Colossians 3:16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
