Church History

Shenandoah Community Fellowship was birthed in September of 2000 in the home of Ralph and Dee Berry under the Pastoral care of Ralph Berry and Banks Swanson. Within three months the church grew out of the Berry’s home and into the basement of SunTrust Bank in Edinburg. With the continual blessings from the Lord, not even a year went by before SCF moved again into the Woodstock Fire Hall. In 2005 Ralph left the church to put more time into his career; teaching and preparing foster parents as well as providing counseling services. Pastor Banks was then hired on as the full-time pastor after five years of serving with the church. In 2006, the Lord provided SCF with the building that we worship in today. Pastor Banks served as Senior Pastor until his retirement in 2017. Dr. Richard Harrell was voted as SCF’s Transitional Senior Pastor on November 16th, 2017. The Lord continues to bless in many ways. Praise the Lord for the History of Shenandoah Community Fellowship!
