Operation Christmas Child

SCF will be collecting shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Collection week is November 12-19.
Two ways to help-you can either donate items for boxes to be used for the packing party or you can pack a box yourself ($9 for shipping).
Items can include:

Toys– toy cars, yo-yos, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (included extra batteries), stuffed animals

School Supplies – pens, pencils, sharpeners, notebooks, paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books

(Non-liquid) Hygiene Items – toothbrushes, bar soap, wash cloths, combs, fingernail clippers

Accessories – T-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, watches, flashlights (include extra batteries), flip flops, chapstick
A “Wow” Item – a medium to large item that will capture the child’s attention the instant he or she opens the box (ex: a soccer ball w/pump, stuffed animal, legos, trucks, baby doll, barbie, musical instrument, clothes, shoes)
Do NOT Include: Candy; toothpaste; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans
Good places to purchase items – Dollar General, Five Below, Dollar Tree, Walmart
